maren + sean
Just. Be. You.
Maren and Sean did away with any preconceived ideas of a “wedding” and threw a celebration that truly embraced who they are as individuals and as a couple. They weren’t concerned about choreographed dances or a traditional ceremony. Maren and Sean wanted laughs, champagne, love, and hugs from their closest friends and family.
After getting ready for the day’s activities, everyone boarded PDX’s party bus for a ride through Portland’s maze of tunnels, highways, and bridges. We whizzed past some notable landmarks— the St. Johns Bridge; the Moda Center; the Waterfront. Maren and Sean even had a chance to make a quick beer run to restock the bus’ supply.
In true Portland fashion, sun filtered through a thick blanket of clouds and made an incredible filter for a short hike through Pier Park. After some time with the trees, everyone made their way to Sean’s parents’ beautiful home for a cozy and intimate wedding ceremony. Sean’s brother served as officiant and spoke words that all of us will remember.
I was incredibly fortunate to have been able to photograph Maren’s sister’s wedding just a few months prior, so reuniting with this lovely family was a real Christmas treat. This unique wedding was one I will never forget. More than anything, Maren and Sean wanted to have FUN with those closest to them, and fun ended up being an understatement.
Thank you, Maren + Sean + family, for allowing me to capture these beautiful photos of you. I’m so grateful.
